Is there more to life than this? Who is Jesus? Why did He die? Why and how do I pray? Does God heal today? Alpha looks at these and other questions, providing a practical introduction to the Christian faith. Over 11 weeks, Alpha explores the meaning of life, revealing that Christianity can be every bit as relevant to life today as it was 2,000 years ago. Join us for dinner at 6:30pm, followed by teaching and discussion in small groups. Dive into different issues, find out what others think, and make new friends along the way!

Get Prayer

We all have seasons when life gets complicated, confusing, or challenging—and we need people praying with us! Make an appointment for a one-hour Get Prayer session and enjoy a safe time during which prayer team members will listen and pray for you or for someone you are concerned about.

NEW Conference

August 2019

Experience keynote sessions, practical breakouts, and excellent worship that will renew you with fresh ideas and reconnect you to the Limitless Source of the Church’s power to change the world. Anchored by the distinctive core values of Northwoods Community Church — evangelistic heartbeat, Word & Spirit culture, forgiveness & freedom, empowered people, and grander vision — the New Conference promises great insights and inspiration to help the contemporary Church and all Christians experience the complete ministry of Christ Jesus.

Men's Retreat

June 15, Norris Lake

Men, you're invited to a one-day men's retreat at Norris Lake. Get together for fishing, swimming, games, and other fun activities. You'll also hear a great teaching about listening to God's voice, which is applicable to men in any stage of life! Feel free to bring your own fishing pole and water rafts.

June 12

Shame can take on many forms. It hides in the shadows of the most successful, confident and high-achieving woman, as well as in the heart of a broken, abused and downtrodden woman and can hold us back in ways we do not realize. In Unashamed, Christine Caine invites you to join her in moving from a shame-filled to a shame-free life by using your personal story and the power of God’s word. Join us for an evening of worship, a combination of video & live teaching, and room for God’s Spirit to move in our hearts and identities. No book purchase necessary.

Child Blessings

Weekend of June 15-16

At Northwoods, Child Blessings are a way for you as parents to seek God’s blessing while making a public commitment to raise your children according to His plan. The basis for Child Blessings is found in 1 Samuel 1:27-28, “I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given to the Lord.” Child blessings cannot impart grace or salvation to your child. Salvation only comes through Jesus Christ as each person recognizes his or her sinfulness and receives forgiveness and eternal life through Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Blessings are meant for children under the age of 12. If your child is older than 12, please consider our next Baptism opportunity.
